25 DAYS TO FITNESS CHALLENGE!!!!!
Hey gang just me again. Yeah, I know it's not December 1st yet, just want to get use to this whole blog thing.
So, I already am doing a challenge here at work with some co-workers (shout out to John and Mamie). Of course, lead by yours truly, ME!!!!! It's awesome. We do a series of Squats, Push ups and Planks. Figured this would be an all rounded workout. We are in week 3 now, and I can feel the difference more in the way my clothes are fitting. The scale!! Well that has moved down a bit. Oh, I also remembered to take measurements too. So, at the end I want to see those results.

WANT TO KNOW ABOUT SHAKEO. READ BELOW.
#1 MISCONCEPTION: Shakeology is a protein shake.
Meaning just a shake that provides extra protein. I can’t blame the general public for thinking this since “protein shake” has become nearly an interchangeable term for ANY shake. But, all shakes are not created equal—especially ones that contain superfoods. Shakeology is a very nutrient-dense shake that can be used for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. You’d have to eat a whole lot of fruits and vegetables to equal the nutrition in a single glass of Shakeology—and you probably couldn’t do it for less than 170 calories. Shakeology makes it very easy to cut your calories without substantially cutting down your daily volume of nutrients needed. Truth be told, the majority of people are WAY MORE nutrient deficient, than they are protein deficient. So why just stop at a protein shake?
#2 MISCONCEPTION: Shakeology is about comparing carbs, proteins, and fats to other shakes.
This is not at all what you should be comparing when you look at other shakes versus Shakeology. Sure, other shakes have 0 grams of sugar. But how do you think those shakes achieve that? Hint, it’s not natural. Yes, that’s right, they are probably using ARTIFICIAL sweeteners to get to 0 grams of sugar. Even fruit has sugar in it. A shake with 0 grams of sugar is using ARTIFICIAL sweeteners. Shakeology has NO artificial sweeteners, NO artificial colors, NO soy, NO artificial stimulants, and NO artificial flavors. One of its main sweeteners is Stevia, which is plant-based.
#3 MISCONCEPTION: Shakeology is just a bunch of extracts, with no whole-food ingredients.
That’s not true. Whenever it’s possible and sustainable for the formula, the superfoods in Shakeology are preserved in their whole-food state to retain maximum nutrient value. It’s a very difficult process to use whole, plant-based ingredients so that the formula retains as much nutritional value as possible, but Shakeology has a whole team of scientists whose mission is to maximize the nutrition in every ingredient in Shakeology. Imagine trying to juice all those superfoods! Shakeology is way less expensive and a huge time-saver.
#4 MISCONCEPTION: Shakeology is expensive.
To anyone who feels this product is expensive I know that I have not done my diligence in breaking down its REAL VALUE. Most people will agree that they would spend an average of $3 to $7 on a HEALTHY nutritious meal. I know most store-bought salads cost even more than that, and don’t contain nearly the dense concentration of nutrients. But on average, I think we can all agree healthy meals run between $3 and $7. Shakeology, at $4.33 per shake, comes in on the LOW END of average. (You can make Shakeology into a breakfast or lunch that you’d be buying anyway.) Not only are you spending less than you normally would, you’re also getting vital nutrients your body needs, that you just can’t get from your run-of-the-mill salad, plus the normal range of vitamins and minerals. So you can replace your VITAMINS, too. Sure, you may need a specific vitamin, based on your conditions, geography, or age—but in general, Shakeology will provide you with a solid base of your whole-food nutrients.
When was the last time you went to your grocery store and bought THIRTY meals all at once? Typically, I’m guessing, you buy a few days’ worth each time. When you buy a bulk bag of Shakeology, you are buying 30 of your shakes up-front. That means you’ll spend less money at the grocery store. Because of the grocery savings, I actually deduct my monthly Shakeology from my grocery budget. For the price, I cannot duplicate its vast quality of ingredients and nutrients.
#5 MISCONCEPTION: Shakeology is only for weight loss.
Most shakes are marketed this way. But here’s the thing. Anything will induce weight loss if it’s low enough in calories. Just because you are drinking a shake, does not mean the fat will melt off. Actually, if you are not getting enough nutrients and calories you will actually inhibit your weight-loss efforts. Shakeology is about HEALTH. When you put the RIGHT nutrients in your body that it needs to develop, heal, recover, repair, and thrive, you may ultimately have MORE energy, LESS cravings, and FEEL better therefore you eat less and become more active. With Shakeology, weight loss becomes a BY-PRODUCT of dense nutrition.
To make my point, when was the last time you dieted and cut calories only to feel tired, grouchy, and had a ton of cravings? That is because you may have been nutrient deficient. What if you’re at your goal weight, or need to GAIN weight? Because Shakeology is about DENSE NUTRITION you can use it as your base and add clean calories to make it 300 calories or more. OCTOBER CHALLENGE!!!!!

How is your day so far? Well, I decided to do something different. I purchased Chalene's Turbo Fire!! Yep. Gonna go for the gusto! I have PiYo and absolutely love it and love her too. This one is 90 days. Yes I know this will run in through the holidays. But, what a better way to stay focused and committed.
This is all about making myself feel good. Everbody needs me time:). What do you do for yourself that always makes you feel good?

MY JOURNEY
Hello Viewers.
FYI, this could be a long post.
A year ago this month I made a decision that is starting to change my life. I entered in the world of becoming an Independent Beachbody coach.
Now, I know what you are all thinking. And I thought the same thing too. See, I have been in the fitness industry for 20 years now. Teaching classes and personal training. My bio tells how I became an instructor. Well, in the readers digest version. I have seen alot change in the years of being in this business. Alot of cultural change. Some good some bad (my opinion). But, when you come right down to it being in this industry is all about making people move (aka MOVEWITHMARY). It's not rocket science, just move, and make better choices in the kitchen or out to eat. It can be done believe me!
On with my story. Yes, I would see these Beachbody informercials and YES I was one of those eyerolling people. My first thought was "gimmick". When all along they are only preaching the same thing. MOVE!! Only you can do this in the comforts of your home, and get the support you need by the intranet! Seriously, what a wonderful invention the computer.
Believe me. I went through all the checks and balances. All the pros and cons. And with anything, anyone can find pros and anyone can find cons. It's what YOU believe in. And from MY journey of tipping the scale at my highest of 209, I believe in a lifestyle change of moving, and making better choices of what I consume. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a total health nut. I too fall and make bad choices. Heck, sometimes I go a week without working out! But, like I have said before in the past, I'm human.
Yeah okay, on with the story. So this is why I chose to become an Independent Beachbody coach. I felt this way I can reach out virtual to anyone by running these challenge groups. And people have also reached out to me. I leave no one out. As you can see by my MOVEWITHMARY FB PAGE. If you don't want to buy into the product I even and always will give you something to do as far as a workout goes. I play no favorites. This is all about change and feeling good about ourselves. And how good do you feel after getting that workout in?
Everyone says "becoming a Beachbody coach you will lose friends, because of the nagging of buying the product." Well let me tell you. I have made friends all over the place. And what a wonderful bunch. This is a wonderful company. Everyone helps one another out. You are given incentives, and perks. You make your own goals. If you hit them, you are well rewarded for them, trust me.
I love the decision I made. And I thank my family for helping me out in believing in me.

I am looking for a couple of partners to team up with me on this 21 day program. In just 30 minutes a day of a workout with a meal plan that is simple to follow with a portion control system. There is NO starvation involved at all. Eat what you want just in the right portions.

Morning viewers.
Well it's Thursday. And of course it's my Friday. Sorry for no afternoon post. I was going to post last night early, but, that never happened. I think I was out like a light by 7:30!!!!! Hate it when that happens.
So, how are we all doing on getting in those fruits/veggies? I'm doing pretty good. Although eating fruits/veggies have never been a problem for me. Actually, eating in general has never been a problem for me:). Although, last night I had a Shakeo for dinner. My husband got home late (went to a retirement party) so, I decided to take the time to put my shakeo in a blender with 1/2 a banana, some strawberries, and powedered peanut butter. Surprisingly enough it came out really good. See, I'm not real fancy with my shakeo stuff. Usually just put it in by shaker bottle and shake and go!!! But, the blender makes it thick, and it felt like an indulgence. Oh and I did get my workout in too before I fell asleep so early. I'm jumping between the 21 Day fix (which I LOVE), and PiYo (which I'm staring to love also). Also getting ready to announce the next Challenge group, which I will let everyone know on Sept 1st. Wow, this was kind of a LONG blog. Enjoy.

Hey viewers.
Did you miss my blogging yesterday afternoon? Had a training to go to, sorry. Guess I could have blogged last night.
Oh, had my veggies on the grill. Summer squash and eggplant, and portebella mushrooms. This time I didn't had any EVOO to them. Thought I could put it on after they were grilled. LOVED them that way. They were so crunchy, almost like eating chips! Way better than the kale I tried on Friday night. Although, I did take the rest of the kale and sauate'd them with peppers and onions. Not bad but, don't think I will ever acquire a taste for them. Hey live and learn.
I'm trying to eat clean. When I can. That means no processed food. It takes alot of preperation, at times. But, I'm trying it. Every now and again I will have something fast like a lean cuisine or boca burger. But, I'm not eating them as often as I use to. Have to say I'm starting to feel good inside. Like I said I'm trying. Now, don't know what's going to happen Thursday night when the Pats play? I usually LOVE to go out for wings, and a couple of beers. Guess I'm gonna gave to google on some wings so I can make them myself. This should be good. I'm an American/Italian, so I'm not good with following directions when it comes to cooking. Which means, I stink at baking!!! Because baking you have to follow it to a T.

Good morning viewers.
Not sure where you are all from. But, had to put my A/C on yesterday when I got home from work. It's going to be hot and humid in MA for the next couple of days. Have to admit though. I did like those cool nights, even though it felt like fall. Fall is my favorite time of year, even though I'm not crazy about the next season that follows. Don't get me wrong. I LOVE the holidays. But, not really enjoying the snow anymore. It's getting old and so am I.
So, on with talking about food (my favorite subject). So, I had my spinach salad last night. About 2 cups of baby spinach, 2 HB eggs, some crumbled up turkey bacon, and reduced fat feta. And it hit the spot. I'm kinda easy anyways. I absolutely love any kind of salads. Especially, in the summer time. Just have to be careful what I put on it. Salads can be sneaky. Depending what you put on them they can be your worst enemy.

Hi.
Well it's almost noon time. I am already having my lunch. Does anyone take a lunch before noon? Had some fruit along with my shakeo. Already thinking about dinner. Thinking on a nice spinach salad with eggs and some feta cheese thrown on it. LOVE feta cheese. I buy the low fat. It has such a powerful taste that I don't even think I could tell the difference between regular and low fat. Hopefully tomorrow night my husband will grill up some more veggies on the grill along with his tuna. Oh sauted the rest of that kale with onions and peppers. And put some baby spinach in it too. FYI. The oven baked kale I did Friday night, I dumped out!!! Sorry, to those who like it. I just can't seem to crunch it down. And will most likely NEVER buy kale again. Hey, at least I tried it. And for the second time at that!.

Get them in! This are good for you. There are fruits out there that are packed with water (here we go). No honestly, and they are nice and refreshing. Veggies, are great on the grill. This is my new discovery this year. Funny, I always thought the grill was just for burgers and dogs, and other meats smothered in BBQ sauce. A little Extra Virgin Olive oil and that's it. Well at least for me. So, get in those fruits/veggies. And have a great morning. Oh put them in your eggs for breakfast!

Good morning.
Sorry no blog yesterday afternoon. I was hanging with the girls. My daughter in law, and the grand girls. So much fun. Thanks Donna, Olivia ,and Chloe.
Ok. So, food shopped yesterday, and I did buy kale. Baked it in the oven, actually followed the instructions, and that's a big plus for an Italian! The verdict. They were ok. For starters, I had a boat load on the baking sheet. It's like spinach, it SHRINKS! They came out crunchy, but after they cool they got kinda soft. Guess you have to eat them right away. They were ok. I probably won't make them again? If I want crunch, I will have some whole grain tostito scoops (love those), and Paul Newman's salsa with pineapple (love that too).
Heading up to workout. Going on a charity ride today for SJL. Have a great day everyone.

It's Friday!
Okay seriously, was this a long week or what? The weekend is approaching and you know what that means? Well at least for me it means I have a hard time staying on track with my journey. LOL, guess you can say I take a wrong turn. But, I keep on going and try not to get discouraged. Hey, at least I am still down that 10 lbs. Remember, I started this in June. Actually, I can thank those last 4 or 5 puunds to the 3 Day Refresh I did. Have to admit, I'm trying different ways of serving up my veggies. BIG fan of doing them on the grill. I think I'm going to try baked kale again. Notice I said again. Yeah tried it once, and it was a flop!

Good afternoon.
How is everyone's day going so far? Just finished with lunch so, thought I'd blog in. Anyone doing anything exciting for lunch? Walking, drinking that water, surfing the web, reading my blog!
Me, just thinking about the end of the day. Yes, I'm going home and getting in a workout. For the next 60 days. Well 57 now, I am doing the PiYo workout. This is what my Challenge group is doing, so I'm doing it along with them. I have already done this one, so I know what to expect. It's a combo of pilate's and yoga with strength training. Man, let me tell you. You do work up a sweat. And trying (notice I said trying) to follow the meal plan with it also. I've said it before and I will remind you again. I'm human. My biggest down fall is the eating part. And unfortunately 70% of any weight loss starts in the kitchen. You know there are some days that I really do wish there was a magic pill!!!!! Hey. I have to be honest. I struggle and always have struggled. But, I am trying to make it better. How about you?

Well it's getting closer to the end of the week. And doing that happy dance. Hey you do the happy dance you burn calories. So, everybody start dancing! Fitness is all about what you make of it. Do something you like. If you do you will stick with it longer. It doesn't have or shouldn't be work. The same goes with eating. Make foods that you like. Experiment and try to make a healthier meal out of an old family recipe. Hey and if you are me (Italian), there are alot of meals to choose from to make healthy:). My mother's motto was "If it isn't swimming in oil it doesn't tast good". Oh and strive for getting that water in. Remember, chugging a glass before you eat will make you feel full.

So, here it is lunch time already. How is everyone's day going so far. Hey it's another beauty out there, so, after you are done with your lunch. Go out for a walk. Oh, and don't forget to bring that water along with you.
Did you know there are alot of fruits and veggies that have a high water content in them? Watermelon, cantaloupe, pineapple, summer squashes, mushrooms peppers, celery. And that's only a few!
And here's an idea for those who just don't like plain water. Take frozen fruit (any kind)and put it in your water bottle. It will keep your water cold like ice does, and will flavor your water also. Oh, and when the fruit thaws (which it will), you can eat it. Pretty smart right? Well I can't take the credit for that one. I have a client that I train told me that little trick;).

Well. The morning is officially over. So, did you try drinking a glass a water before breakfast? If not chug one down now before you eat. What are you doing after lunch? Not sure where you live, but, here in MA it feels like we went right to September. Have to say though, the fall is my favorite season. I just don't like what follows it. And if it's anything thing like last year. God help us.
Okay, so on with the topic of WATER. Oh remember that? So, who had more water intake yesterday than normal? I have already had 20 ounces. Yes I typed that correctly. I chug down 10 when I take my allergy pill, and before I leave the house I chug down another 10. So, let's try this. Before each meal, try drinking 8 ounces of water. Are you game? It will make you feel full so you won't over eat. Now, that's not bad. You're getting in your water and eating less. Think of it like double coupon day:). You are getting two for one.

Good afternoon.
Just getting settled to have my lunch, and I am already on my 2nd 32oz bottle of water. Not to mention the 10oz I had this morning while taking my allergy meds. How about you?
Also there is a challenge pack called the 3 Day Refresh. Remember this is what I did a couple of weekends ago, and lost 4lbs with it. Oh and might I add still kept it off. Hey, and just an update with doing the whole Shakeo at lunch. I started this little journey at the beginning of June. And as of last week, I am down 10lbs. Yeah, and that was the help with this 3 Day Refresh.

Well, maybe not so happy, but, it's Monday.
How was everyones weekend? You do realize I give you a break on the weekends? Everyone needs time to do their own thing. And who wants me harping on getting excercise in or eating properly? So, here we go. It's Monday and back on track. That is what Mondays are for right? To start a new.
So today's tip of the day is WATER!!!!!! Yup, who doesn't drink enough? I can honestly say I do. I like it I have no problem drinking it. But, for those who don't, let's try this. When you get up, start your day with one glass of 8oz. Don't give me that look!!!!! If you take any kind of supplements, medications, instead of just taking that sip to was the pills down, drink a 8oz's worth. It's easy, just chug it like a shot!!!!

And who is doing that Friday dance? I know I am, even though this is my day off. Yes, and I am up early still blogging for you all to read. Talk about dedication. To be honest with all, since I get up REAL early every morning, sleeping till 5:30 is sleeping in for me. Like how sick is that?
On with making healthy choices. Okay, food for thought;). Here is a challenge for you. If anything today. Eat some fruit. This is probably the best season right now. You have watermelon, cantaloupe, honey dew, peaches. You get my drift. If you already eat fruit, good for you, get another serving in. If you are not much of a fruit eater. Throw it in a blender with some low fat or 2% milk or unsweetened almond milk. Heck even try that shakeology;).

PiYo CHALLENGE PACK!!!!!!!

So, what are you doing or having for lunch? Please tell me you are not skipping lunch. Actually, you should NEVAH skip any meal. It's very important to fuel your body. Okay let's talk FOOD. Since on my FB page MOVEWITHMARY, I mostly put out challenges for working out. I figured here we will discuss eating. And if you notice my picture I'm standing outside of a P.F. Chang restaurant:).
Now, I'm not a Nutritionist, so, I can't tell you what you should and should not be eating. But, I can still talk about it. Not sure if you know but, 70% of weight loss starts in the kitchen. Yup true. You can pump all the iron you want or workout 5 hours a day. But, you have to be aware of what you are eating also. There is the Food Pyramid on line. Now, it's called Myplate.gov. I think they added a new section of the pyramid? So, with that said. Check it out. And everything in moderation. Don't go for these fad diets. Those are just quick fixes. This is a JOURNEY (oh remember that word), and a lifestyle change. Just change one thing, and you will notice a difference.

CHALLENGE GROUP!!!!!!!
Good afternoon viewers.
I just want to take this time this afternoon to let you know (if you already haven't) that I am running some Challenge groups. We just finished the 21 Day Fix Challenge. This is a great workout with a meal plan to boot, and these awesome containers for measuring. Now I will be starting a PiYo challenge group. I will put the link down below if anyone is interested. I have already done this program, and it is also a great workout out with a sensible meal plan. Unfortunenately no cute little containers. But, the meal plan is nothing restricted. And for me that was a BIG seller.

Good morning viewers.
Okay, I have an issue this morning, and just have to vent.
You all know I am on the road to work pretty early in the morning, like 4:30. Yes A.M. It's still dark out. This morning as I was coming around a corner bend, low and behold there is a jogger. And what would this person be wearing? BLACK running shorts, dark top, oh but she had a biege colored hat on her head. Now, I am all about a healthy lifestyle. But, more important SAFETY!!!!! Please, if you love doing outdoor activities, and it's dusk or dawn, there are things out there called reflective gear. And not just those little strips on your sneakers!!! Those are useless for people to see. I ride a motorcycle. And I have a reflective vest. And yes I wear this when I have to ride in the rain, or at night. I don't care if it's goofy looking. It's all about safety, not fashion.

Well now here it is Tuesday, and the brighter side is it's closer to Friday:).
And the brighter side for me is this is my off Friday. Anybody jealous? Well, don't be. Because on my off Fridays here I still have my little business to run. Yes, this Beachbody coaching is a business. Besides doing these blogs, and posting on my FB page "MOVEWITHMARY", I also get on my Beachbody web. There I have access to all my clients, and I try to reach out to each one seperately to see how they are doing, and answer any questions if they have them. Hey, sometimes I learn a few things from them also. Everybody has a journey or some type of goal that they want to achieve whether it's fitness, eating right, careers. I just happen to be in a business that I enjoy. Very rewarding when I know I have reached out to someone. This is what I so LOVE about this.

Good morning viewers.
Well, here it is Monday again. Did you ever feel like you were in the movie Ground Hog Day? The same thing over and over and over again? I know, it can be hum drum. That is why you have to add a little zip in your life. So, Saturday we changed the upstairs bedroom around. Hey don't laugh at me. It was something different, and it looks nice! Oh even splurged and went out for Chinese food and Mia Tai's. Okay. But, you can treat yourself every now and again. Me, I usually do it on Saturday nights. And then right back into my routine come Sunday.
Sunday was a gorgeous day. We took the bikes out. Did around 100 miles. Headed down to RI all back roads, and trucked back home. Oh did I mention these are motorcycles, not peddle bikes. I may seem like a fitness nut, but, I'm not that nuts!!!!
So, on with Monday. Got my shakeo and other goodies. Healthy goodies that is. I stay focused during the week so I CAN have a little fun on Saturdays. Or if it's not Saturday, then Sunday.

How is everyone doing? I am fine thanks for asking;). Actually, very fine. Took a vacation day today, so I have a long weekend. Although have to do my food shopping today. Going to look over my booklet I got with that 3 Day Refresh, and pick out more of my veggie/fruits again.
Oh, I also have to go out and trim up the yard. A little!!! My mint is overtaking my patio. I am not a gardener, so never knew you have to contain mint or it grows wild. Well, at least it smells nice when I cut it back.

Well, the week is almost over. And I think here in New England it's suppose to be a beauty. Have to say this summer really hasn't been all that bad. I think we had this one coming to us considering the winter that we were hit with.
Anyways, back on track. Still going strong with this somewhat of clean eating and taking my shakeo for lunch. I have to fess up though. I almost caved in yesterday. BUT!!!! I didn't. That was the first time since I have been doing the clean eating thing that I have craved for chocolate. Maybe it's time to change my shakeo back to the chocolate flavor. Now, the big thing. Do I stay with the regular or Vegan? I chose the Vegan for my 3 Day Refresh. Figured it was only 3 days, and I did want to try it. Have to say I liked. I thought the texture was smoother on the Vegan. But, the regular chocolate does taste so much like cake batter to me:). LOL. If this is the toughest decision I have to make today, I will consider myself lucky. Well on with this morning. Have a wonderful day. And don't forget. Sorry I missed my afternoon blog yesterday. Did anyone even miss the lunchtime read? Well, on with my journey. Seriously, can't tell you how good I'm feeling with this clean eating thing. I guess what really is helping stay on this is the way my clothes are starting to feel now. Nothing says it more than putting on a pair of jeans right out of the dryer, and they feel like you have on sweatpants!!!!
I'm sorry, if this may seem boring or blah, blah, blah, for some people. But, if you never had a weight problem, you just don't understand. For those that have, you know exactly what I'm talking about and that feeling of feeling good.
Last night it was tuna (not in a can), on the grill and veggies on the grill. I think I found my new love. Veggies on the grill. What a different taste it gives. And all that my husband added was extra virgin olive oil!!! I'm telling you, that 3 Day Refresh really gave me that kick in pants I needed. And it was only 3 days!!!!

Good morning viewers.
Well here it is Tuesday, and I am still on a roll with this clean eating thing. It's not bad really. I think the hardest is getting all my veggies prepped and or cooked. But, once that is done, then all I have to do is just plot it in my plate and heat it up, depending on what I have.
Have to say this 3 Day Refresh was great for me. I do feel so much better. And you get a booklet with it that gives you all veggies of choice. Which you can use through out the rest of the month. At least that is what I'm doing.

Good afternoon viewers.
What is everyone doing for lunch today? I just had my Shakeo with some berries. How about you?
I can't believe how good I feel today after doing the 3 Day Refresh. I think for the most part because I stayed committed to it. Especially doing over the weekend. But, the biggest journey is now to stay focused and not gain those 4lbs back. Which brings me to another journey. But, now that I am back on my Shakeo for lunch, it shouldn't be too difficult. This was just a kick start. So, in reality, I am down 10lbs since I started this little journey back in the beginning of June. June 1st to be exact.
So, tonight I will go home, and do the 21 Day Fix workout. My Challenge group and I are on the last week. Have to say it's kind of fun when you have people on the same journey you are on. Well here it is. The out come of the 3 Day Refresh. Down 4lbs. And let me say I was never so excited to hop on that scale on a Monday before.
I have to say it was easy to do. If I had done it during the week day it would have been REAL easy. But, I chose the weekend, because I wasn't sure how regimented I had to be. The only thing with ME doing it on the weekend is that I LOVE going out to eat and my wine. That was a little tough to get through, but I did. And the results were amazing.
The 3 days were super easy. Just follow what the book tells you. You do have to prep in advance. Grocery shop, chopping veggies. I even cooked some up in advance. Oh yes, the booklet. You get a booklet, which gives you all the information you will need for the 3 days. Tells you what fruits/veggies you can choose from, and the amounts to eat. For the dinner it even gives you recipes to follow if you wish. But, now the booklet can be a guide line for this program, to do it again. I will take this concept and just add lean meats and fish to it. And maybe more veggies.

Good evening viewers
Well, today was the first day of the 3 Day Refresh program from Beachbody's. I have to say it wasn't bad. I've just finished dinner and that is it for the rest of the night, unless I want some tea. The shakes are filling. I eat my veggies first, and safe the shakes until the end. Kind of like a treat. They have it so you are putting something in your stomach, almost every 2 hours. The hardest part for me, is that I would love a glass or two of wine. But I can't. I didnt even have my Starbucks skinny vanilla latte today.

Good afternoon.
It's my lunchtime now. Yes and I use it to blog. Well, it must be working because I got someone to come over to my FB page MOVEWITHMARY and like it. Now, that makes for a happy person.
Anyways, on with my journey. Shakeo for lunch and a salad. not half bad. Was almost thinking of going out to eat tonight before the 3 Day Refresh. But, then also thinking, what good will that do. If I eat and splurge, which I most likely would. Then when I weigh myself tomorrow morning, that wouldn't be my true weight. I will weigh in the morning, then again on Monday morning. I will be honest with my results. So, be prepared. This could go either way. And if I can't stick with it for only 3 days, then I'm doomed!!!!
So, what's on your menu for lunch. What's on your menu for dinner. Oh that's right, if I don't go out to eat (which I won't), now I have to figure out what I will be having for dinner. Well on with the rest of the day. Have a great afternoon and evening. Until tomorrow.

It's Thursday, and this is my virtual Friday. Doing that happy dance now.
So, I keep on looking over this 3-Day Refresh program. Just want to make sure I know when and what to eat. Tonight, I will start getting all my veggies cut, and prepared, along with cooking up some veggies too. Thank God for microwaves, that's all I have to say. For the rest it's just having the shakes. The shakes are protein based (potato). Think the theory behind that is that it fills you up more. And I would imagine that the shakes are taking the place of like chicken, fish, etc.? Well we shall see. I have heard mix reviews on this. I didn't think the price was that bad either, even though it's only 3 days. Beachbody does sell a bigger kit called "ULTIMATE RESET". That is a 21 day program. But, also heard you have to stay very focused on. Now, I know that one is really not for me. So, you will never see reviews on that one from me. Plus, I personally think it's kind of pricey. And I'm a coach saying that!! Just cause it's a product I sell, I don't push anything I don't like. I am honest, and I am here to help. I am a fitness professional. My job is to help others.

Hi again.
It's almost lunch time. What is everyone doing? What's for lunch? Hope it's nutritional. Or are you going for a walk and having lunch later? Yes I am full of questions this afternoon aren't I.
Need ideas on a workout, just come over to FB and visit me, MOVEWITHMARY. You can scroll down. I post workouts every morning for you to do. They are easy. Usually 4 things and you do 1 minute/5 cycles. Even I do them. Along with what my Challenge group from Beachbody is doing. How is that for dedication? And yes I do these workouts. For those who know me. You can set your clock by me. I come home from work, put on my workout gear, pop in a dvd, and push play. Oh, and when I have a class to teach, guess what they are doing? I will throw in moves from what ever workout I am supposed to be doing from my Beachbody challenge, and add the challenges that I post for my not Beachbody challengers.

Good morning.
It's Wednesday and July is almost over. How come summer seems to go by so fast and winter just drags!!!! Well, here in MA it drags.
Have to say I've been pretty busy though. Thinking of what my next challenge group is going to be for next month. Have to keep my regular and faithful challengers going with workouts. Just because they didn't buy into the Challenge Packs, doesn't mean I'm leaving them out. That is not my style. Everyone needs that certain somebody in their lives to keep them going. And if I'm helping someone, then it's working, and making me feel good too.
Last night went grocery shopping for all my fixings for this 3 Day Refresh that I will be starting on Friday. Seemed weird just shopping in the produce area. I didn't buy EVERYTHING on the list. Just the things that I like. Hey, it's only 3 days. I think I can stay regimented for 3 days. But, the bigger kicker is will I continue eating clean and not blowing it? I hope so. And I am going to try to make it a point to blog this weekend to let you know how I am doing.

Well it's lunch time for me. While I sit here drinking my shakeo and having some veggies, I am also getting my list together for my 3 Day Refresh which I will be starting on Friday. It's all fruits and veggies along with protein shakes. And of course I picked out the ones that would be the easiest for me to prepare or just grab n go!!!!
I am also doing the 21 Day Fix workouts along with my Challenge group. Figured it was only fair. This way here I can keep them focused. Well, I'm happy today. Just heard from one of my clients that purchased the 21 Day Fix program (workout and meal plan). And they are down 18 pounds! So, excited beyond words. This is why I love this job. With all the FB posts, and blogging that I have been doing. If I can make a difference in one person, to me that is an accomplishment.
This is why, I keep on telling you to come over to my FB page MOVEWITHMARY and like it. It's all about fitness and healthy lifestyle. I run other challenges too, not just Beachbody. It's on the honor system. I post what do to for the day. If you do it fine, if not oh well. But, it's there for YOU.
True story. I was at an event a while back, and was wearing my "movewithmary" T-shirt. Some lady came up to me, and asked if I was the person with the FB page, and I replied "yep that's me". She made a comment about the squats I had everyone doing for that day (we were doing a squat challenge). I was shocked!!!! Here was this person, that liked my page, and was doing these challenges that I was posting. And I didn't know her until that event. The feeling that came over me, I can't even describe.

I took a long weekend, did anyone even miss me? Well, back to the blogging, and back on track.
While I was gone I had some new product from Beachbody arrive to my house. This is called the 3 DAY REFRESH. I was reading over what has to been done. I think I will start this over the weekend. Went to a motorcycle rally up in Vermont this weekend. The weather was beautiful, except for the ride home yesterday. Thought we were going to miss the rain, but, of course not!! I should be use to it by now. It always rains when we come home from Vermont. I did do some cheating. Well, more than some. But, I'm back on track today. Don't judge me, I'm human. I have my downfalls, and weekends can be tough. So, doing the Refresh this weekend coming up should make for an interesting one at that! That means NO going out to eat, which I love to do on the weekends. Oh and no beers either.

Good afternoon viewers.
Well, how did it go this morning? Everyone had a nice healthy breakfast I'm sure, right? And now it's on to lunch. Who out there eats their lunch while still working at their desk? Do you know that is as bad a eating dinner and watching t.v.? Sit back and enjoy every bite and smell of your food. Hey, you deserve it. We wait all day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Well, I know I do. You must be thinking, "and what the heck am I doing blogging at lunch". Well, to be honest with you, I have finished my lunch, so now here I sit and blog for your entertainment.
Okay. Here is a good one for you tomorrow. I want you all to try to eat a breakfast. And please try to make it a healthy breakfast at that. Yes, I know I'm asking alot. But, you will be surprised at how good you are going to feel through the morning. Hate preparing breakfast. Bring some instant oatmeal with you. Just be careful of the sugar content. Remember what I said yesterday. 6grams or less a serving. Take the time to read those labels on the back. Eating on the run? Grab some whole grain or wheat bread with a tablespoon of peanutbutter. The peanutbutter will give you that protein, and a tablespoon is what we like to call moderation. Or, how about tonight when you get home boiling up some hard boiled eggs? One small change, that is all I am asking. Well, at least for right now;).

Well, here it is Wednesday already.
What's for breakfast today? You have to eat breakfast. Yes I know, we went all over this yesterday. Even if it's a meal replacement, put something in your body. Have you tried Shakeology yet?
Anyways, let's get back to CARBS. In all this crazy diet world, carbs get a bad name for themselves. Sure, there are good (complex) carbs,and bad (simple) carbs.
I would hope you all know the difference by now. Your complex carbs, are for example: Sweet potato's, brown rice, whole grain/wheat bread. These are starches, and fiber. Now, not saying you can go eat a 5lb bag of sweet potato's or a loaf of whole grain or wheat bread. But, they are better than your basic potato, white bread, white rice, so on and so on (which are sugar). I think you get my drift. I am not a nutritionist, or dietition. These are things I have just learned over the years of watching what I eat. Not to say what works for me will work for you. Everyones body is different. You have to figure out what works for you and go with it. It can be all trial and error. Just don't get discouraged. This is a journey, remember. Hang in there, stay focused. I am, and I hope you will too.

Happy afternoon viewers
Well, how was your breakfast this morning? Or did you even have breakfast? Please don't tell me you are a breakfast skipper? That is such a no no. Do you realize your body needs food. We go all night long without anything in our stomaches. Like what, 7 or 8 hours? So, by not having breakfast will slow down that metabolism. Your body thinks it's going into starvation mode, so it will hold everything in, and store it.
Think of YOU as fire, and food as fuel. You need fuel to keep that fire burning right? Well the same goes for our metabolism. In order for your metabolism to keep burning, you have to feed it. That is why it's very important to eat 3 meals a day with at least 2 maybe 3 snacks. Healthy food that is. Okay. Maybe one snack you can have something fun. But, still keep it in portion control.
You will be amazed that you can eat and still lose weight. And how good and energized you will feel. That is why having a replacement shake isn't bad for you. As long as they aren't loaded with sugar. Rule of thumb. You should try not to consume anything over 6 grams of sugar per serving. And fat should be 3 grams of fat per 100 calories is average amount to consume. Try to strive for that. READ your labels!!! Just beacause something says "Light" doesn't mean it's less calories. You have to go to the back and read the calories, fat, sugars, and sometimes even carbs. Don't forget refined carbs turn into sugar also. Carbs can be confusing. We will get into those tomorrow. That's if I remember :).

Even though I had a hectic weekend, I still managed to get in all my food preparations for the week. This is SO important for staying on track. At least for me. And portion control too is a big one. I do portion out everything. Even my fruits and veggies. Yeah, I know, and you even heard me say it here. "No one has ever gotten heavy from eating too many carrot sticks." But, what about that Blue cheese dip that goes along with it;)?
The thing with eating healthy or making the right food choices is you don't need alot to get you feeling full. Lean meats, fish, veggies/fruits, and complex carbs, will fill you up. THESE are not empty calories. These nourish your body, so they make you stay full longer.

Good morning viewers.
I know, I haven't been here for a few days. Did you miss me? It was a busy weekend for me. I am a grandmother second time around. So, you know that totally screwed up my staying focused with my journey. And let me tell you, I can certainly feel it. Still got that shakeo in though.
Getting back on track is a big thing. I felt bad, but, I didn't beat myself up. And that is a big milestone. I usually say what the heck and throw in the towel. Have you ever felt like that? I know it can be difficult, but, you just have to look at is as a lesson learned, and get back on with your journey. If anything, this is what I have learned.
I certainly will be focused. I have my 21 Day Fix challenge group that started today, so I am very excited to coach this group. Gosh I love this part of my job. I also still give my FB likes a challenge too. I will never forget them. Hopefully, they will get into the next challenge pack. It's kind of fun when you know there are others sharing the same journey.

Usually, Saturday night is my cheat. Oh well. Hey, it's ok to indulge a little! You just have to get back on track the next day. Never beat youself up. This is life. You CAN eat what you want. Well, it's almost lunch time. What are you all having? I know what I'm having. Did you know that 70% of weight loss starts in the kitchen? Yes it does. Working out is just that extra bonus. Now, that doesn't me stop working out. There are alot of benefits of being active. Cardio builds a stronger heart, and stamina. Lifting weights strengthens the muscles which can help joint pain. Oh and also conditioned muscle burns fat and take up less room. That is right. Don't always count on the numbers on that scale. Besides it's just a number. Go more on how you feel. How are your clothes fitting? Take your measurements before starting any fitness or weight loss program. Then about 3 to 4 weeks in, take those measurements again. Want to see how your fitness level is progressing? Time yourself at the beginning. See how many push-ups you do in a minute. Go to your staircase and see how many times you can go up and down them in a minute. Then after the first month, do these again. If you have even got ONE more push up in or an extra few stairs, then YOU are on your way to a better YOU.

How is everyone doing today? It's getting closer to the weekend. And I don't know where everyone lives, but, here in MA it is going to be another gorgeous one. Thank you Mother Nature since we had a LONG SNOWY winter!
Back on track with this whole convinence thing of shakeology for lunch. This week though I have been doing veggies instead of fruit. Giving my body a shock. Did you know, your body does have a mind of it's own? If you do the same thing over, and over and over again, our bodies get use to it. For instance. Eating the same exact foods, Doing the same workouts. That is why we have to change things up. Your body won't know what hit it, and it will work harder. Even when it comes too changing up your food. Hey no lie, on the weekends, I will be different. Like I said I LOVE to eat!!!! So, instead of my shakeo for lunch, I might have a sandwich or something, and save the shakeo for a snack. Seems to be working, because I am now down 6 pounds. Yeah, I forgot to post that yesterday afternoon. Went down another half pound. Slow and steady. That is the way to lose. Slow, steady and safe I should add.

WOW, talk about having a late lunch! Was in the middle of doing something and wanted to finish it. Didn't think it was going to take long. Boy was I wrong.
So, just finished lunch. Had my shakeo with coffee in it. It was good. Wish I had put expresso in it though;). Haven't even figured out what's for dinner tonight, so this could be disasterous. All I know is I'm going on the 3rd day of PiYo and this is called "sweat". I could be in trouble.

It's Wednesday which means closer the weekend. Now, how happy does that make you feel? Actually, this is my Thursday, because Friday is my off Friday. Don't forget I work the 9/80. Think I explained that one last week.
Well, last night did my green beans in the oven with seasons. Roasted for 7 minutes at 400 degrees. I am not a fan of mooshy veggies. So the 7 minutes was just enough. So, you can only guess what I have for lunch along with my shakeo? Oh and did the cukes with grape tomatoes and some onions. Nice and refreshing when it's hot out.
Pulled a good one yesterday. I'm getting my breakfast ready. Took out the yellow container from the 21 Day Fix (this container is for grains). Go to put my cereal in it (used a spoon to transfer from box to container). Well, the lid was still on the container!!!! Ok, and you say BONE HEAD!!! Talk about a brain fart. Has that ever happened to any of you? Could not believe I did that. I must have got distracted. I am such a creature of habit.

Good afternoon.
Just finished my lunch. Yes, a shakeo. But, this time, I had summer squash with sautee'd onions, and some medium Paul Newman's salsa. I like the one with the Pineapple in it. It has a sweet and then POW to it. These veggies I made up on Sunday morning. So, now all I have to do is just scoop a cup full in a container for lunch, and heat them up when I'm ready to eat them.
Yes, It's all about thinking ahead, and the most important part is preparing some things ahead of time. Like tonight, I will roast up some greeen beans with garlic and seasonings. I do enough for a couple of days servings. Don't forget I force feed these to my husband also. Oh come on. How many men out there really enjoy eating veggies? And while those are baking, I will also cut up some cukes, so all I have to do with those is throw in some grape tomatos and I'm good to go.
I know it can be a bother getting things ready in advance. But, look at it this way. If you just take one day out of the weekend to do it (and it really doesn't take long), then it's done. And all you have to do is just scoop some into a container and away you go. You already have your shakeo. And that will give you enough protien plus all the vitamins it packs.
Like I have NAGGED before and will do it again. This is no quick fix weight loss. It takes time, patience, and some work. I am not just drinking a shakeo and away I go, I'm thin. I am also eating. And eating and making better choices. As for working out. That is a plus factor for me. I teach aerobic classes, plus on the days I'm not teaching I am doing my own thing. Oh my goodness. And some aren't even Beachbody DVD's. But, I am a coach, and being a coach I do get a nice discount on the product. And if you let me, I can help you with your journey also.

Is there anyone up yet? I'm already an hour into work. I'm not sure where all you readers are, but, here in MA it is very muggy out this morning. If you like to workout outdoors like, running, or even walking. Just be careful. Hydrate (drink water). Listen to your body. It will let you know when it has had enough.

Here it is Monday again. Did you ever feel like you are living in that movie "Ground Hog Day"?
Well, I'm back to my easy convient lunches of shakeo, and fruit. Oh and my breakfast is a yogurt with some cereal and sliced raw almonds. Now how easy is that!!! And not much to wash out when I get home.
I think I did okay this weekend. But, Wednesday will be the deciding factor. BUT, my jeans didn't feel uncomfortable when I put them on this morning. Actually, that is the REAL deciding factor. We, focus so much on a dang number on the scale. When it should be about how we feel. The scale should just be a guideline? Is that a good way of putting it? As long as we are making good healthy food choices and are feeling the difference in our physical activities and health. That should be the deciding factor. What works for one may or may not work for the other. Everyones body is different. But, it doesn't mean you have to sit back and do nothing. As long as you do ONE good thing for yourself a day, you have done something.
So, here is my plead for today, Monday. I want you ALL to drink an 8 oz glass of water today, and have a piece of fruit. If you already do this, then fine. Then go for another glass of water and fruit, it wont' hurt!!!

Good morning viewers.
Well, it's Sunday, and the day after working out with Shaun T. Can't even begin to tell how much fun it was. I think I'm still on a high. It was VERY hot, blue sky, not a breeze, not a cloud while we were doing the workout. But, I stuck with it.
Thought it was funny, though. There were people there that were smug and that they were all that. LOL, they were off to the side lines getting sick!!!! Big benefits of being a veteran fitness instructor. Know your limits, know your environment! And above all, listen to your body. By the end, burpees were bothering me. That planking out and then jumping up wasn't cutting it. So, I compensated, by doing side/side deep lunges.
All in all it was great. He was great!!!! Such a nice, humble real person. I'm sure I'm old enough to be his mother. So, on that note, just wanting to say he is the type of guy you want your children to hang with.
If he ever comes to your town or close by you have to make it an effort to go.

Saturday morning.
Have to say, I'm getting butterflies in me right now. So hyped about working out with Shaun T. And nervous too. Guess that's called mixed emotions.
Well, last night out with my old roomies wasn't bad. Had an awesome Cobb salad with my dressing on the side. Couldn't even finish it!!! It had maple bacon which I did not eat. Don't be amazed. That wasn't will power, I just don't like flavored bacon. But, I did have 2 beers, oh well. They were light!!!! Coors even.
Time to think of breakfast now. Whatever it is I'm gonna have lots of protein along with complex carbs. And definitely having a light lunch. May save the shakeo for after the workout. Well heading for another coffee, and just zoning out. Maybe I will post tonight. But definitely you will here about this tomorrow morning. Planning on a Sunday ride tomorrow too. Hopefully, I can take my bike and not be a passenger.

Well NOW it's the afternoon.
Boy this day is flying by. SAID NO ONE EVER ON A FRIDAY!!!!! Thank goodness I'm out of here in an hour. Yes, but, I pay the price, I'm up early. WAY early.
Had may Shakeo. I put some pumpkin spice in my vanilla. I hate to say it. But, it gave me that feeling that fall is in the air. Had that holiday taste to it. And I had a nice cucumber salad too. Just cukes, and tomato, and evoo, with a balsamic blend and cannelini beans. Very tastie. And refreshing. I tried for the week with making the food, and having 50,000 containers in my lunch tote, then going home and washing everything out and starting all over again (blah, blah, blah,). Now I think it's time to start going back to the quick and easy method again.
Like I have pounded in your heads as you read this. I am human. I try to find the easiest way to do things. I like convience. And drinking my shakeo for lunch with some fruit and or veggies, is convient for me. And hey, it's working since I am down 5 1/2 pounds now!!!! Just want to add that 1/2 pound came off over my long 4th of July weekend!!!! HMMMMMM pretty good.
Although, I am getting kind of lonely with my journey. Would love to have you on my road trip with me:). Just go to the shakeology web up top and read all about this product. It might convince you to try it also.

Happy Friday viewers
God, do I hate working a 5 day week. My company does the 9/80. That's 9 hour days every other Friday off. On the working Friday it's an 8 hour day. And this is the working Friday. And it stinks coming off of a very long Holiday weekend.
Well, you can't believe how excited I am. I have on my MOVEWITHMARY tee shirt I had made up. Getting ready for tomorrow's workout with Shaun T. And tonight I'm going out with some old room mates of mine for dinner. I have to stay focused. I know what won't be on the menu for me tonight. And that is any type of beer, wine, or any form of alcohol!!! It will be hard, but, I'm going to stick to my guns with this. Last thing I want to do is feel like crap, and jumping around. Especially with one of his type of workouts.

Good afternoon.
So, how is your day going so far? Mine has been a busy one. And just can't wait for it to end.
Getting excited for Saturday. Going to a live workout with Shaun T down at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro MA. It's getting close. I think I purchased my ticket back in May or something? Been doing some hard core cardio this week so, I won't pass out!!!! To be honest, the only dvd I have of his is Hip/Hop Abs which I love. I would have purchased T25, but, then 21 Day Fix came out, and it was new and a real good deal. Still is a good deal in my honest opinion.
Hey, do you all know I also have a fitness FB page. It's called MOVEWITHMARY. You might have to put a (2) at the end of that. So, find me on FB and like my page. Would love to get over 100 likes. I already have 69 likes. It's a fun page. All about fitness. I do give Challenges (free) on this page. Well, I give like 3 or 4 things to do along with your regular workout routine. Good morning.
Well it's the day after hump day and closer to the weekend. And let me tell you, after having a VERY long weekend last week, this week as been dragging!!
Another day another journey. I must say I am still very proud of myself for the weight loss. I am the only one in my weight loss challenge group that lost:). So, yesterday when I got home I hit the workout hard. Did the 21 Day Fix Plyo. I used the modifier on most of the moves, and still worked up a sweat. This is a great program and so doable!!! HOLY COW!!!!!!
Well the verdict is in. I am down 1/2 pound!!!! AND I WILL TAKE IT. VERY surprised to say the least. So, this IS doable even with a long holiday weekend that we (I) just had. I know I slipped on the eating thing. Although, did always manage to get that Shakeo in. But, did stay focused on excersicing. THAT, I did do everyday. Love those containers that you get with the 21 Day Fix also. They help really stay on track. They are like measuring cups in pretty colors. Plus, you can use them as containers also.
Oh and I just realized. Have you noticed my profile picture? I am in front of a P.F. Changs!!! So, really. That alone will tell you how much I can stuggle with not making good choices on food. So, see I am human, and I do go off the beaten path. I try not to beat myself up. I stay focused, positive and my glass is always half full.

Well here it is Wednesday.
This is my weigh in day and kinda nervous. Will give the results this afternoon.
This week I have been trying something a little different. My menu usually consist of, yogurt with some cereal for breakfast, an apple for a morning snack, my shakeo and fruit for lunch, and almonds with some veggies in the afternoon.
This week i have been making an egg white omellette for breakfast, some type of protein and veggies, and lunch is my shakeo (of course) with veggies that I have already cooked up on Sunday. Oh and chicken and raw veggies when I get home (pre-workout snacky). I have to say THIS IS alot of preparation at night to get this all ready for the morning. Not sure if I'm liking it, but, I just needed something different. I think my body was getting use to the food I was having. So, I needed to zip things up.
And this is why I call it a journey. You need to go in different directions to spice things up. If you don't like the road you are on, then go down the next. You might be surprised how different the view looks. Wow! that was pretty deep for so early in the morning.

Good morning viewers.
Well we made it through Monday. Or at least I did. Long day though yesterday. Didn't think it was going to ever get over. Well yesterday is history, on to today.
Tomorrow is weigh in day for me, and have to say not feeling overly anxious about it. I know I didn't to that good over the long holiday weekend. I'm scared, nervous, stress is setting in. Why do I do this to myself. Have you ever felt like this? Well, those who are trying or have tried to lose some weight?
Anyways, I've changed up my routine a bit. You know me by now. I like to keep it easy and simple. Well today I have an egg white with 1/2 fiber one muffin and a slice of tomatoe. Although, for lunch I do have my Shakeo, but, this time I have summer squash with onions that I baked in the oven. Don't worry, I didn't blend them together!!!! And I have veggies and some cheese for snacks, oh along with a 100 calorie pack of almonds. How's that for being healthy.
Hitting the workouts HARD this week. I'm working out with Shaun T on Saturday. Not just me, there will be others. I want to build up my stamina, so, I'm not sucking wind or passing out!!!! Then it's a meet with him and picture taking:). God I love being a Beachbody Coach. Some of the perks.

Good morning viewers
Here it is Monday morning. Sure didn't like it when that alarm went off this morning at 3:30!!! And yes that is A.M.!
Well, how was everyone's weekend? Mine was nice, except for the rain we had on the 4th of July. But, the rest of the weekend was gorgeous, so really can't complain. Now it's back to serious action.
Have my shakeo ready and waiting for me. Lunch can't get here fast enough. Oh don't get me wrong, I have breakfast too. But, after lunch, time seems to fly and then it's time for me to go home:).
I have to admit, I am more on track on the weekdays then I am on the weekends. It wasn't a good weekend as far as making those "good" choices. And to tell you the truth by yesterday, my body was feeling pretty sluggish because of it. Like I have said, I am human. I make mistakes. But, hopefully, I learn by them. At least I'm still moving forward on this journey, and that is a good thing.

How did everyone do yesterday? Honestly have to say, I was a train wreck. I did have my shakeo, but that was it. Many beers were consumed (6), snacks, cheeseburger, and a big ole frosted cupcake.

It's the day before the 4th, and depending on where you live it will be a wash out. Wash out here in MA. Arthur is coming up the coast. Fortunately, we are just getting the heavy rain.
Another day, another month, another journey. Shakeology is made. This time I put pumpkin spice in with my vanilla. Just zipping it up a bit. I have put it in the blender, but that wasn't my thing. Way to thick, even for me.

Good evening viewers
Well, the verdict is in. Are you ready? It's been exactly a month since I started this journey, and I'm happy to say, I am down 5lbs!!!!!! Now, some maybe thinking, that's it! BUT. That is a pound to a pound and a half a week, and THAT is a safe and healthy weight loss per week. So, onto this month.
I also did my 3rd consecutive day of PiYo. Today's workout was called Sweat. Yup, and sweat I did! What a workout. I'm getting these tricep push ups down to a science. Actually, like doing them since I could never do them properly before.

It's Wendesday, and closer to the 4th. Also, this is my weigh in day, and marks a month since my journey began. And I have been good at blogging everyday. Twice even.
Now, I am on my little vacation too. So I will get my workout done this morning. Still doing PiYo, today is called SWEAT!!!! Happy joy.
I am on vacation, but, hopefully not from my journey. Shakeo is made and chillaxing in the fridge. Oh and I put cinnamon in it again. I think today I will have it for breakfast, and maybe a salad with some hard boiled eggs in it. Got to mix up the food, just like you have to mix up your workouts. Your body is smart. And it will get use to the same thing.
So, it's good to mix it up and confuse your body. It will work harder if it doesn't know what hit it.

Well, USA lost to Belgium. Thought we did good. We weren't even supposed to have got this far.
Oh, my shakeo with the cinnamon in it was pretty good. Will certainly do that again. Also did day 2 of PiYo. It was upper body defined. It certainly was upper body. Lots of planks, tricep push-ups and abs!!! Ok, now I know I'm going to be sore tomorrow. And if that wasnt enough I did 21 Day Fix cardio. What the heck was I thinking!!!!!
Pulled a boner at the grocery store last week. Was over at the produce. Love the baby spinach in that plastic container. Dont know what I was thinking, but when I went to grab the container out of the fridge, it turned into a container of Romaine. ARGH!!!!. So, guess I'm eating salad this whole week:). So, tonight I had tuna with my salad.
Getting anxious. Tomorrow is weigh in. Will certainly let you know the results. Maybe tomorrow I will get on my old computer and upload a before pic. That should be another dilemma. LOL. Now, time to post this to FB.

Good Morning viewers.
Can you believe it's July already? Well, have to say, after doing PiYo lower body last that I can certainly feel it in my Glutes (buttocks) this morning. Today is upper body. Yippee, can't wait!!!!
Today in my shakeo I added a little cinnamon in the vanilla. New experiment, let's see how this one taste. With my fresh fruit (to eat that is).
Well, tomorrow will mark a month since my journey. And oddly enough it's also my weigh-in. Let me tell you. It does feel good putting on clothes I haven't worn in over two years:).
Like I said before and have to stress! This is NOT some miracle Shake! I also have to do the work. I didn't put this on over night. So, it won't all come off over night. I am human, and this can certainly be challenging at times. I have my falls. But, I pick myself up and get back in the game. Anyone wants to come on this journey with me. You are more than welcome:). It's warm here and a/c's are running.
Well, did my first PiYo tonight. Did lower body defined. Did work up a sweat, and even my upper body got a workout. Oh yes there is a modifier. I think this is gonna be a good one. Can't believe how tight my muscles are. But I do feel refreshed. Which comes to my next sentence. PiYo is the special Challenge Pack for July. SO!!!! PiYo it is.

Good morning viewers.
It's Monday, and I'm moving slow!!!! Not sure why. Maybe because 1/2 of America has this week off and I'm here at work. Well, at least the highways were empty.
Two more days and another weigh in. This next weigh in I will have been doing this Shakeo for a month. So, let's see where it brings me.
Yesterday a few of my Challenge Group Clients connected with me. They are happy with the Challenge Pack I picked for them to do. A few questions on the eating plan. I try to advice accordingly. I'm NOT a Nutritionist, so, I really can't go telling my clients what they should and shouldn't be eating.
Anyways. Back to Shakeo!!! Yesterday wasn't bad at all. We stopped for lunch, and I had a Spinach salad with my dressing on the side. I chose Balsamic dressing. I alway get my dressing on the side, even before this journey. Don't like my salads too soggy!!! My family can agree to that. Always yell at my sister not to put too much dressing on the antipasto!!!!! Oh and we didn't even stop for ice cream. If you have ever been around bikers. WE LOVE OUR ICE CREAM!!!!!

Good morning viewers.
It's going to be another beautiful day. And Sunday at that. Who's on vavcation this week?
We are heading out on a bike ride today (motorcycles). So, this morning I will have my shakeo for breakfast. What happens after that will be a crap shoot. If we stop for a late lunch, I know a salad with some protien will be on my schedule. Good thing I like salad.
Well, last night wasn't bad. Went to my favorite tavern (Ted Montana's). Had my Bison burger (buffalo). Don't gag. It taste like very lean hamburger. Not greasy tasting at all.
I feel I have done good this weekend, so hopefully will show on the scale.
Well, time to go to my beachbody page, and visit with my fitness challenge groups to see how they are all doing.

We are heading out on a bike ride today (motorcycles). So, this morning I will have my shakeo for breakfast. What happens after that will be a crap shoot. If we stop for a late lunch, I know a salad with some protien will be on my schedule. Good thing I like salad.
Well, last night wasn't bad. Went to my favorite tavern (Ted Montana's). Had my Bison burger (buffalo). Don't gag. It taste like very lean hamburger. Not greasy tasting at all.
I feel I have done good this weekend, so hopefully will show on the scale.
Well, time to go to my beachbody page, and visit with my fitness challenge groups to see how they are all doing.

Good morning.
It's Saturday and gorgeous here in MA. Well, Friday night went well. Had a salad with tuna fish. Got my nails done also. It was late, so I only watched a little of the first PiYo dvd. Oh my goodness!!!! BUT, I do have my shakeo already made and waiting for me in the fridge. Tonight will be the test, as usually with any Saturday night for me. I enjoy going out to eat on the weekends. Heck, I enjoy eating!!! But like I said, I am human. I am also still losing, and feeling better about myself. I can honestly say the craving for eating junk is starting to diminish too. Well, got to go. Hope you are enjoying my journey.
